What is BOTOX®?
BOTOX® is a brand name for a type of neurotoxin called botulinum toxin. It is used in cosmetic and medical procedures to temporarily paralyze muscles and reduce wrinkles or treat certain health conditions. When injected into a muscle, it blocks the signals from the nerves to the muscles, which causes the muscles to relax and soften. Botox is most commonly used for cosmetic purposes, such as reducing the appearance of wrinkles, but it can also be used to treat medical conditions like migraines, excessive sweating, and muscle spasms.
When will I see results?
Results are noticeable within 24 to 48 hours.
How long do results last?
Results last about 3 to 4 months.
How many treatments will I need?
The effects of BOTOX® can become visible after a single treatment, with a duration of approximately 3 to 4 months. Patients have the option to continue with treatments on a recurring basis
What is the recovery time?
Remember to consider that bruising can occur after receiving BOTOX® injections. To avoid any potential inconvenience, it’s recommended to plan your treatment at least two weeks before any important event or vacation to allow for the possibility of bruising to subside.
