What is Radiofrequency Microneedling?

Radiofrequency microneedling is a non-surgical and minimally-invasive skin rejuvenation procedure that uses tiny, sharp needles to create controlled skin injury or small holes, called micro-channels. The needle releases radiofrequency into the channels, causing additional damage. This enhances the effects of standard microneedling. These micro-injuries trigger the body to fill the wounds with new collagen and elastin creating smoother, brighter, healthier, stronger, and younger-looking skin.

Radiofrequency microneedling is used for the treatment of skin issues including uneven skin tone, wrinkles, fine lines, stretch marks, large pores, pigmentation, sun-damaged skin, cellulite, and acne or trauma scarring. Many patients notice an immediate change in their skin and the changes will continue to develop over the course of several weeks. Results can improve up to six months after treatment as collagen production continues.

Advantages of Radiofrequency Microneedling

  • Short healing time (two to four days)
  • No bruising or swelling
  • Works for all skin types
  • No sun sensitivity post-treatment
  • No permanent injury
  • Long-lasting results that increase overtime
  • Quick appointments
  • Comfortable procedure (the feeling associated with the treatment is similar to sandpaper being moved across the skin.)
