What to Know Before Getting a Wax
First off, it’s important to let your hair grow out to about the size of a long grain of rice (or about two to three weeks of growth). This helps ensure that your hair is completely removed from the root. It’s especially important to grow the hair out if it’s your first wax.
It is also recommended that first-time waxers take ibuprofen and avoid caffeine on the day of their appointment.
What to Know During the Wax

What to Know After Getting a Wax
After-care is crucial when it comes to getting waxed. Your skin will be sensitive, so here are some tips we recommend following after your appointment:
- Avoid hot environments like saunas, hot tubs, steam rooms, tanning beds, and hot showers for at least 24 hours.
- Exercise is also not reccomended for 24 hours after a wax appointment.
- Avoid skin-on-skin contact.
- Avoid tight, irritating clothing.
- Exfoliate two to three days after treatment to prevent ingrown hairs.
Now that you know what to expect and there’s nothing to be nervous about, ditch your razor and schedule a wax appointment with us having full confidence!
